TML would encourage all parent carers to view this video
It is relevant to all.
When is it vital to include a Parent / Carer and when is it not?
Please allow us to negotiate and discuss, observe and realise with you if it's appropriate or not to include a Parent / Carer in the learning process.
This discussion starts when we make our first phone call and phone assessment, right from the start.
Early Learners
For children under 7 in particular, special learners and similar we will ask the Parent / Carer to learn what the child is learning to assist with home practice.
This would be for any instrument.
A child at the age of 3 to 5 will need a teacher to guide the material and someone to assist the child in practice at home. This is endorsed internationally and is the basis of all early learner and support methods.
